Queen Palm, Cocos Syragrus romanzoffiana Queen Palm, Syragrus romanzoffiana, is easily grown from seed offered by the GreenDealer Exotic Seeds collection of Palm Trees.

This specimen was photographed in Los Angeles in June, 2002. This South American native grows farther south on that continent than any other palm. It grows tall with a solid, single trunk and a full head of long feathery Leaves. It grows best in full sun and will tolerate mild frost. It produces large bunches of yellow fruit which are edible. Seeds germinate in 2 to 6 months at warm temperature.
