Not a true palm but more like a "Sago Palm" in appearance. Mexican Cycads are a beautiful specimen for any home in the deep south. They can be grown outdoors during summer in colder zones and brought in for the winter and grown as container plants for a few cold months during the year. Soil should be rich, moist and loamy, and plant should be fed monthly with a commercial tropical plant food, or a plant food specifically formulated for palms.
Winter hardy in sones 9 - 11.
